Admiral P - Reggae Artist Set To Launch Zedway Album In Lusaka This Weekend

Zedway (short for Zambia/Norway) is an initiative of Admiral P, a Zambian-Norwegian Reggae artist. In recent years (in collaboration with Music Norway), he has been involved in the music industry in Zambia.

Admiral P, real names Philip Boardman was born in Lusaka, Zambia to a Zambian mother and his Norwegian father Tom Boardman, and grew up with the street culture and music of the less privileged neighbourhoods. He regards Nyanja as his first language, Norwegian and English as second languages.

At the age of 10 he attended a Shabba Ranks concert, which he has cited as a large influence in the decision to become a reggae artist.

In 1995, when he was 13, his family moved to Oslo, Norway because his father was terminally ill and they reasoned that he would receive better healthcare in Norway. However, shortly after the move, his father died. In an episode of the TV 2 musical reality show "Cover Me" he admitted that adapting to Norwegian culture and society was challenging.

Now, latest on our desk confirms that, Admiral P together with his team will on Saturday 17th 2018 release "Zedway Vol. 1", a collaboration album by Zambian artists in Lusaka.

The album was recorded easter last year under "Camp Lusaka" (Seminar & Workshops), which was initiated by Admiral, Knirckfritt and Music Norway.

"Vol. 1" comprises some of Zambia's greatest Dancehall artists: B Flow, Cactus, Milz and many more.

Admiral P has over 100 million streams worldwide. With hits like "Snakke Litt", "Kallenavn" and "Engel", he has cemented himself into Norwegian music history.

"Good Life" is the first single from the Zedway Volume 1 album, and will be promoted on Zambian radio, television and print media.

The event will be held at Fox and Hound in Foxdale, Lusaka, Zambia. Headliners: Admiral P, B'Flow, Cactus, General Ozzy, Milz, Flexville Marley, Ras Kinky and Kayah Man. Many more local artists will perform.

ZambianMusic.net will stream live this event across all its social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
